WHAT WILL A TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE?

Daily Virtual Sessions

Flag raising 9:30am | Camptivity 10am | Bunks 11am

We will start each day together at the Flagpole, then campers will have the opportunity to join in Camptivities from the choices we have that day. This will be followed by Bunk Time, led by our fantastic Hoblitzelle Counselors.

Apart from a few predesignated supplies, all the camper needs are a good internet connection, a smart device, the Zoom program installed, and a readiness to have fun!

WHAT ARE YOUR DIFFERENT WEEKLY PROGRAMS?

Each week we will follow a new and creative weekly theme designed with your camper in mind.  Our content is created with the grades K-5th or 6th in mind, the beauty of Hoblitzelle@Home is that we can serve a much broader age range than during our in-person programs. We've provided a suggested age range, but understand that younger kids could certainly enjoy completing the activity alongside an older sibling. You know your child best!

WHAT ARE “BUNKS”?

WHAT IF I CAN'T MAKE EVERY ACTIVITY?

There will be both active and passive choices for each day. Your virtual online sessions (Camptivities and Bunk hangouts) are the only set scheduled activity each day! We are doing our best to provide families with both routine and flexibility. We will provide a sample schedule for the week, but you are more than welcome to arrange your week in the way that works for your family.

Don't forget to check back at the Flagpole for the day's activity videos at a time the works for you!

WHAT IS SR. CONSEVATORY?

The Salvation Army has a rich history in implementing a quality summer Music Conservatory program. This summer we are excited to offer Virtual Senior Conservatory, a two-week (Mon-Fri) program for ages 12-18 focusing on spiritual, community, and artistic development. You can learn more about this program and how to register here:

WHAT ARE “CAMP CRATES"?

In an effort to keep our community connected, give our campers opportunities to see one another, and have a little fun, we invite all campers to join us online in our "Virtual Bunk Hangouts" for some camp fun and community connection. You can join all online meet-ups through Zoom. Each scheduled virtual event includes a Zoom link.

WHAT ARE CAMP CRATES?

Camp Crate brings the fun of a camp to your doorstep! This camp in a box* provides fun, meaningful activities for kids as an alternative to person-to-person summer programming. With themed activities and crafts each week of camp is guided by an overarching theme and no two days look alike. We keep supply lists short and most items not supplied in the camp crate can be found around the house.

Check out our basic supply list of common items we utilize for Camptivities.

*Camp Crates available while supplies last!

Why are there dates associated with my crate?

WHY ARE THERE DATES FOR CAMP CRATES?

With polling parents, campers and staff a top priority to create Camp was live interaction with the instructor and peers. By scheduling our Camp@Home Crates, we'll have a cohort of campers all completing their program at the same time and sharing their experiences with each other during our virtual hangouts.

Our crates are mailed out Wednesday each week for the next session so our campers receive them in a timely manner.
